ATC-S05 / H antenna system 116-140 MHz / 200-400 MHz The ATC S 05 / H antenna system is a development version of the ATC S05 system. The modernization consisted in equipping the radio part with a control and protection module for the proper operation of all system systems. The type of antenna sections has also been changed from the so-called coaxial dipoles on collinear discon antennas. The power supply and lightning protection systems were modified, which significantly standardized the vertical radiation pattern and increased the separation between adjacent sections of antenna radiators. These changes contributed to the improvement of the antenna’s transmission parameters, which directly translates into the operating range of the radio. A new method of earthing the radiators was also introduced, which, combined with a more effective lightning protection system, significantly increased the degree of protection of communication equipment against damage from lightning discharges.
